Centre for Development of East Planning Region in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance – Project for improving municipal services (MSIP) and the World Bank organized an information event on “Public procurement rules and procedures of the World Bank.” The informative event took place on 02nd November, 2016, at the Hotel “Izgrev” – Sthip.
The purpose of this informative event is more detailed knowledge of the economic sector in the country with rules and procurement procedures of the World Bank, their application in the procurement of goods and civil works as well as specific experiences from the implementation of public procurement in projects financed by the Project for Improvement of the municipal services.
Event with a greeting message opened Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva, Director of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region.
Topics at the event were:
- The rules and procedures for procurement of the World Bank;
- Procurement and responsibilities;
- Preparation of tenders and the most frequent reasons for their rejection;
- The general post-qualification criteria for the construction work and good complaint procedure and etc.
The procedures that were presented to the event were referring to all purchases of goods, civil works and services (including consulting services) that are partially or fully funded by the World Bank.
Upon completion of the presentations were held B2G meetings between interested representatives from the private sector and municipalities with the representative of the World Bank in connection with public procurement rules and procedures of the World Bank.
The event is organized with the financial support of the Ministry of Local Government of the Republic of Macedonia in cooperation with the Centre for Development of East Planning Region.
