Training on “Cultural Heritage Management” from the project “Cultural Bridge through the centuries”

On March 10-12, 2021 in Hotel Izgrev, the third activity Strengthening the capacities in the field of Cultural Events Management and Cultural Heritage from the project “Cultural Bridge through the Centuries” was held.

This activity includes two three-day trainings: the first on the topic “Cultural Heritage Management”, and the second refers to “Cultural Events Management”. The realization of this activity will focus on the importance of cultural events for the development of cultural tourism, will cover all aspects of cultural heritage management and its sustainable use. At the same time, the stakeholders on both sides of the border will be trained to properly create, plan, implement and manage cultural events for the benefit of tourism development.

The event was held virtually, ie the event for the representatives of the municipality of Belica was held in the big hall of the reading room “Georgi Todorov 1885”, and for the representatives of RS. Macedonia the event was held in hotel Izgrev in Stip. The three-day trainings were organized in accordance with all health measures and protocols for protection of the health of the citizens of Kovid – 19.

The activity was presented by the project team from Belica and interactive works were held in groups. The event was attended by 15 participants from both sides.

This activity contributed to improving the skills and knowledge of stakeholders in the field of tourism in the East Planning Region in order to better use the tangible and intangible cultural heritage to promote cultural tourism and develop an appropriate tourist offer in the cross-border region.
