As part of the planned activities that are undertaken to implement the project for Establishment of regional planning and geographic information system in the municipalities of Eastern Montagne region on 26th and 27th of March 2014 at the Municipality Cesinovo – Oblesevo, representatives of the firm KALIOPA, Republic of Slovenia, held a workshop with professional and responsible persons of all eleven (11) municipalities within the region for continuing the activities under the project.

At this stage the situation was discussed with the addressing model and the tax system, the problems that arise in the implementation phase, their overcome and compliance of needs.

It is expected by the end of 2014, according to the set timetable for the project, the first and the second phase to be fully completed.

Within this project there was a work meeting between representatives of the firm Kaliopi from the Republic of Slovenia, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kocani, Mr. Ratko Dimitrovski and Head of the Centre for Development of Eastern Montagne Region, Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva. The meeting was held to consider extending the of the project III (third) stage, i.e. the inclusion of underground cadaster GIS system for all municipalities in the region.

Given that this project is implemented by a grant from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia through the Program for bilateral technical assistance to the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, discussed the possibility of providing additional grant and economically justified costs, affordable for municipalities in implementing the III (third) phase of the project.

The conclusions of this work meeting will be presented at the meeting of the Council for the Development of Eastern Montagne Region, scheduled for March 28th at Municipality of Berovo.
