On April 7, 2017, in the Business meeting room at the Skopje Fair in Skopje, at the invitation of the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Mr. Bashkim Ameti, held a coordination meeting with the mayors of East and Northeast Region as well as representatives from the Centers for development of East and North-East Planning Region.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the results achieved by the Project for the selection of the location for interregional landfill, as well as future steps that are necessary to be take to initiate the procedure for procurement of containers and vehicles for waste collection, waste dumps closure and preparation and review of technical documentation for construction.
It was stressed that a review of technical documentation will be funded by municipalities from both regions that will also represent and their co-financing the project.
It was also stressed that all participants in the project must be careful to limit its obligations to carry out on time to observing the planned deadlines.
