The Fund for Innovation and Technological Development, together with the Center for Development of the East Planning Region and Regional Chamber of Commerce, organized an info session for the presentation of the Instrument for Co-Funded Grants for commercialization of the inovations.

The informative session was held on April 22, 2019 (Monday) starting at 11:00.

The aim of the instrument is to encourage increased research and development activities in the private sector, to encourage private sector and private sector cooperation with higher education and research institutions, as well as other forms of cooperation for the commercialization of innovations.

Support through this instrument will be awarded to projects with a clear commercial goal that are in the prototype phase (or an appropriate phase depending on the type of innovative product, service, process) to the pre-commercial (pre-market) phase.

The instrument is intended for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and private healthcare institutions that want to develop an innovative product, service or process, alone or in cooperation with another enterprise, an institution that performs higher education or research activity or PHI. The instrument offers financial support to enterprises and PHIs registered in the Republic of Northern Macedonia in order to develop and implement innovative solutions, including support for enterprises and high growth potential.

The public call refers to the co-financing of project proposals up to a maximum amount of financial support by the Fund up to 325,000.00 (three hundred twenty five thousand) euros, depending on the size of the legal entity applying the maximum amount of the co-financing percentage by The Fund is:

  • 70% (seventy percent) for micro and small legal entities; and
  • 60% (sixty percent) for medium-sized legal entities.

The remaining 30% (thirty percent) 40% (forty percent) of the total project budget should be provided by the applicant (funds received from the Fund on any other basis or any other state aid will not be considered as eligible co-financing funds by the applicant).

The application for the public call is valid until 15.05.2019, until 23:59 hours.
