In the period from 27 – 29.07.2021 in Belica, Bulgaria was held the activity 10 “Tourism Fair” within the project “Cultural Bridge through the Centuries” which is realized within the program for cross-border cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of S. Macedonia, and is implemented by the National Reading Room “Georgi Todorov 1885” Belica, as a leading partner and the Center for Development of the East Planning Region as a project partner. The participants of the training were representatives from Belica (Bulgaria), and a total of 20 representatives of the municipalities from the Eastern region (Northern Macedonia), as well as individuals and representatives of other institutions working in the field of tourism.
At the “Tourism Fair” was presented the cultural and natural heritage of the East Planning Region and Belica through the realized videos from the project. Stands were set up at the fair where products (souvenirs, handicrafts, home-made food products) from local producers as well as representatives from Macedonia were exhibited.
The participants of the “Tourism Fair” were able to present their creations at the same time and learn new things, to exchange experiences with participants from both sides. All participants actively participated in the discussion on the benefits of the “Tourism Fair” citing and giving examples of successful development of cultural tourism.
