The project "Innovative solutions for better access to services at the local level" is being implemented by the UNDP and the Ministry of Local Self-Government, within which the mapping of the potentials for tourism development within the East Planning Region is carried out.
On October 27th, 2017 (Thursday), in the hotel "Izgrev" in Stip, the Center for Development of the East Planning Region organized a second workshop for preparation of a Register of potentials for rural tourism development in the EPR.
Within this activity, a Register of potentials for rural tourism development will be prepared for the East Planning Region.
Balkan Development Solutions experts work on the development of the Register of Rural Tourism Development Potentials in cooperation with CDEPR and the municipalities of the region.
At this workshop, the interested representatives presented their results, gave directions, and reviewed the most important issues from the register. At the same time, the process of mapping, the received remarks and assessments from the entities in the region, and the finalization of the draft version of the Register of potentials for development of rural tourism were discussed.
The event was attended by representatives from: Municipalities, LED Offices, public enterprises, NGOs, hoteliers, tour agencies, Center for development of the East planning region, experts to the BDS, associations of farmers, farmers and other interested parties.
Topics of the event were:
- Introduction to the goals and tasks of the workshop, as well as the preparation of the register;
- Discussion of the mapping process so far, the received remarks and assessments from the entities in the region;
- Qualitative Analysis – Evaluation of the Rural Tourism Factors in the EPR and
- Evaluation of the rural tourism factors in the EPR.
