On October 21, 2022, the Center for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region at “Sloboda” Square in the municipality of Shtip organized the second regional fair for the support of social enterprises, within the framework of the “Support of Social Entrepreneurship” project funded by the European Union, which it implements Eptisa, in a consortium with Barka and Ecoris, in which the end user is the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
Within the framework of the regional fair, about two dozen social enterprises and civic organizations from the region, who are engaged in economic activities and do good for society, employ marginalized groups and reinvest their profits in order to solve certain social problems, presented and offered their products and services. .
The fair was attended by Mrs. Zujitsa Angelova, Director of the Development Center of the Eastern Planning Region and the Regional Office for the Support of Social Enterprises, who welcomed the future and formal-legal social enterprises, thanked for the support and trust, and welcomed this widely accepted concept, which is already recognized for the contribution it offers in solving the social problems of the community.
Mrs. Barbara Sadovska, team leader of the project “Support of social entrepreneurship”, who has a significant role in implementing the concept of social entrepreneurship, as a tool for social inclusion and sustainable local development in the country, also had her address.
During the fair day, two additional workshops were held on the possibilities offered by the Law on Public Procurement for the implementation of reserved contracts and marketing of social enterprises.
The regional fair to support social enterprises is part of a series of promotional events within the project.
