The VII (Seventh) Session of the Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region was held

The Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region, on 04.11.2022, in the municipality of Probishtip, held the VII (Seventh) Session. At the Seventh Session, members were presented:

• The possibilities for multifunctional use of water resources from the Eastern Planning Region, based on the Study of possibilities for the regulation of the Bregalnica River (mini reservoirs, dams and cascades);
• The concept of nature-based solutions for water purification and climate change adaptation;
• The possibility of implementing an organized regional approach regarding the protection of the population in the Eastern Planning Region from vector-borne diseases through disinfection of adult mosquitoes – presenter representative from the Center for Public Health Skopje.

There was information about:

• Projects for the development of the planning region for 2022 with indicative planned funds for 2023;
• The selection process for financing an investment project proposal within the MLS/SDC Grant Scheme “Sustainable and Inclusive Balanced Regional Development – Phase II”;
• The method of organizing and conducting regional consultations – forums for determining the Proposal – list for financing projects for the development of the Eastern planning region from the Program 2023/2024.

The following Decisions were made at the session:

• Decision on transfer of a built object “Rehabilitation of a Polish road in the village of Virce, municipality of Delčevo (end of route)”;
• Decision on transfer of a built object “Reconstruction of existing street 3 in tourist settlement Berovska ezero, municipality of Berovo”;
• Decision on the election of the President of the Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region.

The Mayor of the municipality of Kočani – Mr. Ljupcho Papazov was elected as the President of the Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region.
