XV (Fifteenth) Session of the Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region was held

The Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region, on March 4, 2024, in the municipality of Karbinci, held the XV (Fifteenth) Session.

The Council determined the List of Proposals – Projects for the development of the Eastern Planning Region, for funding from the Program for Balanced Regional Development for 2024 with indicative planned funds for 2025, while ranking the projects from the List in order of priority.

1. Introduction of measures for EE of public facilities and use of RES (Improvement of the conditions in the educational process in IPR);
2. Improving energy efficiency in the region by replacing public street lighting with LED lighting (Smart Led Lighting Project);
3. Advancement in environmental protection by equipping vehicles for garbage collection and maintaining public hygiene in the region;
4. Regional center for the care and control of the population of stray dogs and veterinary health in the Eastern Planning Region.

The Council unanimously adopted the Annual Report on the operation of the Center for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region for 2023.

The Council approved the Communication Strategy of the Center for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region for 2024-2026.

At the session, the Council adopted the following Decisions:

• Decision on transfer of a built object “Electrification, fencing and installation of tourist signage at the Bargala archaeological site”;
• Decision to give a positive opinion and adopt the final account of the Center for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region for 2023;
• Decision to give a positive opinion and adopt the final account of the Project “Sustainable and Inclusive Balanced Regional Development – Phase II” for 2023.
