On 13.2.2025, the First Press Conference for the project: Transforming of urban sites with green infrastructures – EcoScape was held at the Izgrev guesthouse in Shtip
Partners in the project are the Municipality of Gotse Delchev from the Republic of Bulgaria, the Municipality of Shtip and the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region from the Republic of North Macedonia.
The goal of the project is sustainable development of the region through the implementation of direct initiatives aimed at improving the urban environment in cross-border regions. Addressing economic, social and territorial disparities as well as inequalities, the project will propose appropriate investments to improve the quality of life of local citizens, the inclusiveness of education, training, and resolving territorial gaps.
The project will build new green areas (parks) in Shtip and Gotse Delchev, Republic of Bulgaria, namely 3 (three) parks in Shtip with an area of 1,135 ha and 0.775 ha of green area in Gotse Delchev Bulgaria.
In addition to introducing green infrastructure in these two cities, the project will develop at the regional level: 1. Green Infrastructure Strategy, 2. Action Plans, 3. Green Transition Concept and 4. Capacity Building
The project budget is EUR 867,654.00
