On March 4, 2026, the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region received the new street sweeping and cleaning vehicle, purchased with funds from the 2025 Regional Development Program.
The total value of the investment is 5,852,800 denars. Of these, 4,000,000 denars are provided through the Regional Development Program, and 1,852,800 denars are allocated from the budget of the Municipality of Shtip, which is a partner in the project.
The end user of the vehicle is PUC “Isar” – Shtip, the public utility company responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the city.
Why is this vehicle important?
PUC Isar – Shtip faces a shortage of manpower and mechanization, which makes it difficult to regularly clean the streets. The new vehicle will help overcome these challenges:
- Labor shortage – the machine replaces manual labor and allows for continuous hygiene maintenance.
- Efficiency and productivity – faster and more efficient cleaning of larger areas.
- Technological progress – modern machinery with improved performance and lower maintenance costs.
