The Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region, on March 9, 2026, in the Municipality of Vinica, held its third session.
The Council elected Irena Mirchovska – President of the Association for Ecology and Environmental Protection “Eco Team East” from Kocani as a member of the Council for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region – a representative from the associations.
The Council gave a positive opinion and adopted the final accounts of the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region for 2025 and the final accounts of 7 (seven) projects of the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region.
The session reviewed and adopted the Annual Report on the operations of the Center for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region for 2025 and the Annual Report on the Implementation of the Program for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region 2021-2026 for 2025.
The Council reviewed and approved the Form for Recording the Development Potentials of Planning Regions of Importance for Regional Development for 2025.
The Council determined the List of Proposals – Projects for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region, for the use of funding from the Program for Balanced Regional Development for 2026. The following projects were determined as priorities:
- Regional Center for Care and Control of the Stray Dog Population and Veterinary Health in the Eastern Planning Region;
- Introducing EE measures in public buildings and using RES (improving the conditions in the educational process in EPR) and
- Improving energy efficiency in the region by replacing public street lighting with LED lighting (Smart Led Lighting Project).
The Agreement on additional funds for financing the tasks and activities of the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region for 2026 was signed at the session.
