The Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region in the period from June 10-12, 2026, organized three public hearings for the presentation of the draft report on the strategic environmental assessment of the implementation of the Regional Waste Management Plan for the Eastern and Northeastern Regions.
Through the public presentations, all interested parties, participants in the process, as well as the population of the Eastern Planning Region had the opportunity to become more familiar with the Regional Waste Management Plan (RWMP), the current activities implemented within the framework of the RWMP, and the content of the draft report on the strategic environmental assessment of the implementation of the RWMP.
On June 10, 2026 (Wednesday), a public hearing was held in the Council Hall of the Municipality of Shtip for the municipalities of Shtip, Karbinci, and Probishtip.
On June 11, 2026 (Thursday), a public hearing was held in the Council Hall of the Municipality of Vinica for the municipalities of Vinica, Kochani, Cheshinovo-Obleshevo and Zrnovci, and on June 12, 2026 (Friday), a public hearing was held in the Council Hall of the Municipality of Berovo for the municipalities of Berovo, Pehchevo, Delchevo and Makedonska Kamenica.
The public concerned is hereby informed that the Draft Report on the Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Implementation of the Regional Waste Management Plan for the Eastern and North-Eastern Region, prepared within the framework of the project “Support to the Implementation of Regional Waste Management Systems in the Eastern and North-Eastern Region” (NEAR/SKP/2022/EA-RP/0137), financed by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), has been published on the website of the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region www.eastregion.mk, at the following link https://eastregion.mk/2026/05/28/javna-rasprava-po-naczrt-izveshtajot-za-strategiska-oczena-na-zhivotnata-sredina-od-sproveduvane-na-regionalniot-plan-za-upravuvane-so-otpad-za-istochniot-i-severoistochniot-region/, and can be submitted under it. comments from all interested parties, no later than 25.06.2026 to the following e-mail addresses: eastregion@eastregion.mk and trajce.zdravkov@eastregion.mk.
