On December 19th, the day of the patron of the Municipality of Shtip, the Center for Development of the East Planning Region along with the eleven municipalities within the region, held the “Promotional Day of the East Planning Region.” The eleven municipalities presented their unique potential to the citizens of Shtip and possible investors.
Written promotional materials, archeological artifacts, traditional food and drink, traditional handicrafts and products from local manufacturers were presented to the attendees of the event.
The event was enriched with a cultural and artistic program which lasted more than four hours.
A particularly important part of the event was the roundtable on “Financing Regional Development in the Republic of Macedonia – Effective Coordination of Resources for Development of the Planning Regions Realized through the Ministry of Local Self Government, line ministries, and other sources.”
The Mayors of the municipalities of the East Planning Region, the President of the Southeast Planning Region, the Mayor of Lozovo from the Vardar Planning Region, the Manager of the Center for Development of the East and Skopje Planning Regions, and consultants and other interested parties attended the roundtable.
The forum resulted in a number of conclusions that have been submitted to the Council for Regional Development and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
