New funds to improve rural infrastructure and provide access to arable land

On July 23, 2021, the Head of the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, Ms. Zujica Angelova, together with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Mr. Arjanit Hoxha, signed an Agreement granting financial support to the East Planning Region in order to implementation of a project to improve access to arable land in areas of intensive agricultural activity.

The Center for Development of the East Planning Region with the allocated funds in the amount of 2,021,989.00 denars will provide rehabilitation of a field road in the village of Virce, Municipality of Delchevo, in a length of 1050 meters and a width of 4.5 meters.

The reconstruction of the field road provides access to a total of 983 hectares of arable agricultural land, which is mostly represented by cereals, gardening, fruit growing, and newly planted blocks with hazelnuts, blue plums, apples and sour cherries.

In cooperation with MAFWE, we contribute to raising the quality of life of the population in the rural areas of the East Planning Region.
