The construction works of “Conservation and restoration of the church “St. Vlasie”” have started within the project “Cultural bridge through the centuries”

The Center for the Development of the Eastern Planning Region has started the construction activities for the conservation of the church “St. Vlasie” on the Isar fortress in Shtip within the project: “Cultural bridge through the centuries”.

The “Cultural Bridge Through the Ages” project is co-financed by the INTERREG IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Bulgaria – Macedonia 2014-2020, with additional national co-financing provided by the Ministry of Local Self-Government.

The conservation and restoration of the church “St. Vlasie” are performed by the economic operator BV Engineering DOO Bitola, and the value of the construction works is in the amount of about 89,300 euros.

The restoration and conservation of the church “St. Vlasie” will be made of stone and opus, in the first phase of which the walls of the church will be restored up to a maximum of 1.5 m from the ground level, in the second phase, an access path to the church with a length of 146 meters will be built, while in the third phase, the church and the path will be lit with candelabra and appropriate road signs will be installed.

The contractor BV Engineering DOO Bitola the restoration and conservation of the church “St. Vlasie” is expected to be completed in 14 months.
