On July 14, 2025, the Agreement for the implementation of the project “Improving educational conditions and creating habits for environmental protection of primary school students in areas with specific development needs in the Eastern Planning Region” was signed between the Bureau for Regional Development and the Center for Development of the Eastern Planning Region.
The project covers primary schools from 34 villages in 9 municipalities in the region and provides for the procurement of 38 sets of interactive whiteboards and 42 sets of waste selection containers.
Primary schools in areas with specific development needs need modern teaching aids in order to provide students with modern ways to transfer knowledge and develop digital skills in environments where the technological gap is pronounced.
The procurement of a set of interactive whiteboards and waste selection containers is expected to have a transformative impact on both the educational environment and sustainability practices in these communities. By focusing on the introduction of modern technology and proper waste management, this project proposal will encourage improvements in the quality of learning, environmental responsibility and the overall well-being of the community.
On September 16, 2025, the Public Procurement Agreement for 38 interactive whiteboards with accompanying equipment was signed and they have already been delivered and put into operation in 34 primary schools in the region.
On September 23, 2025, the Public Procurement Agreement for 42 sets of waste selection containers was signed and they have already been delivered to 14 primary schools.
