Centre for Development of East Planning Region, realized the promotional event for the establishment of Business Center for support and consulting services for small and medium enterprises in the East Planning Region, on 28-October-2014 at the University “Goce Delchev” in Stip. The significance of the establishment of the Business Center confirmed the presence of the Deputy Minister of Local Government Mr. Ljupcho Prendzov, current Representative of Development Program of the United Nations (UNDP) Ms. Louisa Vinton, presentation of Prim. MA Ilcho Zacharias, Mayor of Stip Municipality, Mr. Toni Tonevski, President of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region, and Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva, Director of the Centre for Development of the East Planning Region.
The Agreement for establishing the Business Center was signed by Ms. Louisa Vinton from the Programme by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Ministry of Local Government represented by Deputy Minister Mr. Ljupcho Prendzov and Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva Director of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region.
It is expected that the Business center will show bigger functionality and be helpful to the business community and the wider public sector to open the door for potential investors to locate their businesses in the region to exploit the human and natural potentials.
The existing business community, through the figure of 72 present from total of 98 participants at the event, confirmed the need for the operation of such a business hub in this region in Macedonia, for development and assistance in opening new businesses.
The collection of industrial zones in the planning area, which will prepare the Business center will map all areas with their size, characteristics and peculiarities of importance for any potential investor.
The Business center will organize events and informative meetings with representatives from the business sector for presentation of the priorities and objectives of the Strategy for regional development in order to receive suggestions and proposals for economic development that would have taken place in the next five-year program for the development of the planning region.
