Final conference for the programme for development of the East Planning Region 2015-2019

Centre for Development of the East Planning Region conducted a participatory process for the preparation of the Programme for development of the East Planning Region 2015-2019, with the support of GIZ RED Program for regional economic development in Macedonia. The programme is designed in accordance with the methodology of the Ministry of Local Government (Rules of the methodology for the preparation of planning documents for regional development, Official Gazette no. 102/2009).

On the final conference, held on 11.20.2014 at Hotel Sunrise, Stip, welcoming address and address the importance and significance of the development of the Eastern Region gave:

  • Ms. Biljana Cvetanovska Gugoska – State Secretary, Ministry of Local Government
  • Mr. Gerold Shvarc – GIZ RED Programme Manager
  • Ms Mojca Krisper Figueroa – EU Delegation Programme Manager
  • Ms. Aneta Damjanovska – Head of the National Program for the Swiss Development Cooperation
  • Mr. Ilco Zahariev – Mayor of municipality of Stip
  • Mr. Tony Tonevski – Mayor of municipality of Probistip and President of East Planning Region
  • Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva – Head of Centre for Development of East Planning Region

Dr. Dennis Zernovski team leader of the maker of the Programme presented the process of preparing of Programme for development of the East Planning Region (2015 – 2019) for which was held series of workshops, as well as the contents of the Programme before the mayors of the region, officials municipalities, civil society and private sector, representatives from the line ministries involved in the field of balanced regional development, experts, representatives of the SDC, GIZ RED and the staff at the Center for the development of the East Planning region.

 

 

After the presentation, was open debate for it where participants in the final conference presented some comments and observations with a request that they be incorporated into the Programme.
