On 15th October, 2015, at Hotel “Izgrev” in Shtip, the Centre for Development of East Planning Region with developers IDEA O.K. and BDS organized and held a Public hearing to finalize the Strategy for tourism development in the East Planning Region and Action Plan (2015-2024). The goal for this public hearing was to take joint and final positions on the submitted comments on the draft version of the Strategy, to complete the structure of the strategy document and action plan which would give a final solution to this document.
The draft strategy was prepared in a participatory manner, with the active participation of all stakeholders in tourism, including customers, local government and public sector, private businesses and civil society from the East Planning Region.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the Agency for promotion and support of tourism, municipalities, public sector, private businesses, associations and other stakeholders from the East Planning Region.
The final version of the “Strategy for development of tourism in the EPR with Action Plan 2015 -2024” is expected to be made during the month of November 2015, and shall be adopted by the Council for Development of East Planning Region. Following the adoption of the strategy all stakeholders will be able to start implementing the defined priorities.
