Held the first information event about the PRESENTATION OF THE LAW FOR CONSTRUCTION LAND AND THE LAW FOR SPATIAL AND URBAN PLANNING for the municipalities within the East and Northeast Planning Region

On November 10, 2015, at Hotel “Izgrev” Shtip was held the first information event on PRESENTATION OF THE LAW FOR CONSTRUCTION LAND AND THE LAW FOR SPATIAL AND URBAN PLANNING for the municipalities within the East and Northeast Planning Region in the framework of the project in the Ministry for Local Government, “Innovative solutions for better access to services at local level” which is conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the Centers for Development of the Planning Regions in the Republic of Macedonia, ie for the East Planning Region which is realizing within the project “Establishment of Business Center for support and consulting services for small and medium enterprises in the East planning region.”

The main goal of the event was timely and accurately informing the employees in the sector of urban planning, public works, building inspections and local economic development in the new amendments to the Law on Construction Land and the Law on Urban Planning. For that purpose, experts from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Macedonia held training for better acquaintance with recent legislative changes.

The event was attended by over sixty representatives from the municipalities of the East and Northeast region.

The event with a greeting message was opened by Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva, Head of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region and Mr. Zvonko Zafirovski, Advisor at the Ministry of Local Government.

The first presenter of the new amendments to the Law on Construction Land was Mr. Darko Grozdanovski, Ministry of Transport and Communications. He led the session with the issues and discussion of new amendments.

The second part of the presentation was about the recent amendments to the Law on Spatial Planning, which were elaborated by Ms. Vesna Andrievska, Head of Department, Ms Maja Lazarevska, Assistant Head of Department and Ms. Vanja Andonova Advisor in the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Upon completion of the presentation, there was session with questions and discussion about the new amendments to the Law on Spatial and Urban Planning, followed by a series of practical examples for professionals, employees of municipalities made by official representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The project is implemented with technical and financial support of the Ministry of Local Government and United Nations Development Programme  (UNDP).
