Held ninth Meeting of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region

Ninth Meeting of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region was held on 25. 02. 2010 in Obleshevo Village. Besides mayors from the East Planning region, also representatives from the MOEPP and employees of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region were present at the Council meeting.

At this Meeting, the Mayors adopted the Action plan of the Centre for Development of the East Planning Region for 2010, and the Annual list of project proposals for financing from the Bureau for Regional Development in 2010 was discussed. Because of additional consultation needed for Mayors for setting priorities among proposals, this list is to be adapted on the following Meeting of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region on 04.03.2010 in Probishtip. At the Meeting the Mayors adopted a conclusion to continue with the activities to enroll the East Planning Region in AER and they nominated and elected members in the Commissions and Programs necessary for the process of integration into this association.

Head of the IPA Department in MOEPP, Mrs. Darinka Jantinska presented IPA activities to establish an integrated and financially self-sustaining system for waste management.

At the Meeting, the Center presented the idea of signing "Memorandum of cooperation and coordination in the direction of increased investment for development of road network in Eastern Macedonia”, which was adopted.
