On 24th June 2016, at the Hotel “Izgrev” – Stip held an informative event with the private sector of East Planning Region and other interested actors on “Co-financing grants for new start-ups spin-off for potential applicants.
“The organizing of this type of events is an important step in support of the private sector ie SMEs, merchants / economic operators in the region, craftsmen, interested potential foreign and domestic investors and others.”
The main goal of the event is to increase the competitiveness of the planning region by supporting SMEs and entrepreneurship, which is also noted as a strategic priority in the development programe of the East Planning Region:
- Medium-term objective 1.
(Economically developed region, widely recognized as attractive for investment);
- Priority 1.2.
(Development of entrepreneurship and small business in the region);
- Measure 1.2.2.
(Support the businesses of high technology and creative industries);
- Measure 1.2.3.
(Raising the capacity of businesses to access advanced funds);
The event was attended by representatives from SMEs, entrepreneurs, NGOs and foundations, unemployed, craftsmen, traders, members of clusters and networks and potential foreign and domestic investors.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Economic Chamber of Macedonia and the Innovation Fund.
Event with a greeting message and introductory speech was opened by Mrs. Dragica Zdravea, Director of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region.
Topics at the event were:
- Presentation of the Fund and instruments;
- Rules and procedures for funding under the instrument;
- Brief introduction to the application package;
- Preparation of project proposals as an information software, application form, business plan, project budget and supporting documentation.
Upon completion of all presentations, held B2G meetings between interested representatives from the private sector and representatives of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia and Fund for innovation.
The event was interactive nature of which perceive the interest of the business community of this type of information events in various fields.
