On 16.12.2021 in hotel Izgrev in Stip, within the project “Post-KOVID: municipalities as drivers of sustainable development” implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Bureau for regional development and the Ministry of local self-government, the Center for Development of the East Planning Region organized a workshop for Inter-Municipal Cooperation intended for the participants in the project “Digitalization of municipal services in the East Planning Region”.
At the workshop, the representatives of the municipalities, as well as the representatives of the Center for Development of the East Planning Region with the expert support of Professor Memet Memeti had the opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the specific form of inter-municipal cooperation through which this project will be implemented.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the capacities of local self-government units by supporting innovative models of cooperation set out in the Law on Local Self-Government and / or existing legal forms of IMC as a tool for implementing regional development policy and improved service delivery to citizens. .
